Back End Developer

Title: Senior Software Engineer (Spring Boot / Node.js / PostgreSQL)

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Contract Duration: 2 Years

Experience: 5–7 Years

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend services supporting customer journeys and business applications.

• Design, develop, and enhance software components using Spring Boot and modern software engineering practices.

• Handle integration layers, API development, and API versioning to ensure seamless system connectivity.

• Contribute to database design, optimization, and development using PostgreSQL.

• Support front-end development using Node.js and collaborate with cross-functional teams on application integration.

• Perform unit testing, participate in code reviews, and ensure high-quality, maintainable code.

• Collaborate with multiple teams to deliver technical solutions aligned with business requirements.

• Identify opportunities to improve software development processes, performance, and efficiency.

• Provide technical guidance and contribute to key engineering decisions.

Requirements:

• 5–7 years of relevant software engineering experience.

• Expert-level proficiency in Spring Boot / Spring Framework.

• Expert-level proficiency in PostgreSQL.

• Strong front-end development experience with Node.js.

• Strong knowledge of software engineering principles, API development, system integration, and database design.

• Experience working in Agile development environments.

• Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and technical decision-making skills.
