JOB DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS

About the role:

We are looking for experienced Backend Developers (Java) to join engineering team. You will work on the next-generation custody platform, taking existing POC components through to production.

The platform covers areas such as identity and access management, licensing, transaction processing, compliance, digital asset custody and ledger services.

Job Description:

• Design and implement Java APIs and microservices based on user stories and architectural guidelines.
• Take existing POC services and enhance them for production-grade scalability, security, and reliability .
• Work across backend components including identity, governance, transaction processing, compliance, wallet integration and ledger services.
• Integrate with internal and external systems, including identity providers, custody/blockchain services and enterprise messaging platforms.
• Follow secure coding practices, perform code reviews and support vulnerability remediation.
• Write unit and integration tests and support CI/CD deployments.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects and distributed engineering teams.
• Support production readiness, go-live, and post-launch maintenance.

Requirements and qualifications

• Strong experience in J ava backend development .
• Solid experience with microservices and REST API design .
• Experience building and maintaining enterprise-grade production systems .
• Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of secure coding, authentication/authorization and API security.
• Ability to work with existing codebases and complex system integrations.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Comfortable working in Agile and distributed teams.

Nice to have:

• Experience in banking, fintech, payments, crypto/blockchain or regulated environments .
• Familiarity with Keycloak, SSO, IAM or RBAC .
• Experience with transaction processing, ledger systems or event-driven architecture.
• Knowledge of blockchain wallet or custody integrations.
• Familiarity with SOLACE, key vault management or Multi-Entity Multi-Currency architecture.
