ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Backend Developer with a strong interest in Low-Code, Automation, and System Integration .

This role is not a traditional backend development position where most of the work is writing code from scratch . We aim to build and deliver business applications by combining low-code platforms, automation tools, APIs, integrations, databases, and custom backend development where necessary .

The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys understanding business processes and finding the simplest, fastest, and most maintainable way to turn them into working systems — whether that means writing code, configuring a low-code platform, building an automation workflow, integrating existing systems, or combining all of these approaches.

Low-code is a long-term direction of this role, not just an additional skills.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Work directly with customers to gather, clarify, and analyze business requirements and business processes.
• Translate business requirements into practical technical solutions using low-code platforms, automation, APIs, system integrations, and custom development where appropriate.
• Design, develop, configure, and maintain backend services, APIs, integrations, and low-code applications.
• Build and maintain automation workflows to improve business processes and reduce manual operations.
• Use low-code and integration platforms as the preferred approach where they are suitable , while developing custom code when low-code alone cannot meet technical or business requirements.
• Collaborate with customer-side and internal teams to deliver enterprise applications and business solutions.
• Integrate different systems, databases, services, and third-party APIs.
• Ensure solution quality through testing, troubleshooting, code reviews, and technical documentation.
• Participate in technical discussions, solution design, project planning, and daily team activities.
• Support deployment, maintenance, monitoring, and continuous improvement of applications and workflows.
• Continuously evaluate new low-code, automation, and AI-assisted development tools that can improve development productivity and solution delivery.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

Technical Skills

• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js .
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and/or MSSQL .
• Experience with REST APIs, system integration, webhooks, and backend architecture .
• Hands-on experience with one or more low-code / no-code / automation platforms , such as:
• Directus
• n8n
• Superset
• Microsoft Power Automate
• Other similar platforms
• Familiarity with Docker/Podman, NGINX, Git, and Linux environments .
• Experience integrating systems through APIs, databases, webhooks, message queues, or other integration mechanisms.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools for coding, debugging, code review, documentation, and productivity enhancement.
• Understanding of software design principles, clean code, testing practices, and maintainable system architecture.

• Strong interest in low-code, automation, and integration is essential.
• Willingness to build a long-term career around hybrid development: Low-Code + Integration + Custom Code , rather than focusing exclusively on traditional software development.
• Able to evaluate when to use low-code versus custom code , instead of defaulting to writing everything from scratch.
• Enjoys understanding business problems and designing practical solutions, not only implementing technical specifications.
• Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working directly with customers to clarify requirements and propose solutions.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
• Willingness to learn new platforms and technologies continuously.
• English communication is a plus.

This position is not intended for candidates who are looking exclusively for a traditional Backend Developer role .

A significant part of the work will involve low-code platforms, workflow automation, system integration, and business solution delivery , in addition to conventional backend development.
