Role Overview

We are looking for hands-on Java Engineers to develop and maintain microservices for a Debt Management System platform. The role involves building scalable REST APIs, implementing service integrations, developing event-driven workflows, and ensuring code quality, security, and reliability.

Candidates should have strong experience in Java and Spring Boot, with exposure to enterprise application development and microservices architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java/Spring Boot microservices and REST APIs.
• Implement service integrations and event-driven workflows using RabbitMQ.
• Develop secure APIs using Spring Security, OAuth2/JWT, and Keycloak.
• Work with Oracle databases and implement persistence using JPA/Hibernate.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following engineering best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and production issue resolution.
• Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, security, and infrastructure teams.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and deployment processes using Docker and Git-based tools.

Additional expectations for Senior Engineers:

• Own technical implementation of complex features and service integrations.
• Contribute to design discussions, solution architecture, and performance optimization.
• Guide junior engineers through code reviews and technical mentoring.
• Identify technical risks and ensure adherence to engineering standards.

Required Technical Skills

• Java 17+ / Java 21
• Spring Boot and microservices architecture
• REST API development and integration
• Spring Security, OAuth2/JWT
• Keycloak or equivalent identity and access management solutions
• Oracle Database, JPA/Hibernate
• RabbitMQ and asynchronous messaging
• Maven, Git, Docker, and CI/CD fundamentals

Preferred Experience

Experience in one or more of the following domains will be an advantage:

• Banking and financial services
• Debt management, fixed income, trading, or settlement systems
• Government-sponsored enterprises (GSEs)
• Other regulated enterprise applications

Education

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
