Back-end Java Developer

Job Summary

 The Back-end Java Developer designs, develops, enhances, and maintains backend applications using Java and Spring Framework technologies. The role delivers secure, scalable, and maintainable business services and APIs, integrates applications with internal and third-party systems, and ensures database performance and data integrity. The developer also supports testing, deployment, production issue resolution, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities & Duties

 - Design, develop, enhance, and maintain backend applications using Java 11 or higher and Spring Framework technologies.

• Develop scalable and reusable business services and APIs based on approved functional and technical specifications.

• Ensure applications meet performance, security, and maintainability requirements.

• Develop, maintain, and document RESTful APIs.

• Integrate applications with internal and third-party systems.

• Configure and manage messaging services using RabbitMQ or similar tools

. • Develop report generation functionality using Jaspersoft

. • Design and optimize database structures, SQL queries, and transactions.

 - Implement persistence layers using Hibernate and Spring Data.

 - Maintain database versioning and migration scripts.

• Support data integrity, consistency, and database performance.

 - Perform unit, integration, system, and API testing.

• Participate in peer reviews and automated code scanning.

 - Resolve application defects and remediate security vulnerabilities identified through code scans and penetration testing.

• Support build, release, containerized deployment, and CI/CD activities.

 - Manage application artifacts and source code repositories.

 - Assist with cloud deployment, monitoring, resource optimization, scalability, and availability.

• Provide production support and resolve issues within agreed service levels.

• Follow secure development practices and organizational security policies.

 - Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in Agile planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

• Maintain technical documentation, deployment guides, API specifications, and support materials.

 - Support knowledge transfer and recommend process and technology improvements.

Technical Skills & Qualifications

• 3 years of experience

 - Proficiency in Java 11 or higher and Spring Framework technologies.

 - Demonstrated experience developing and deploying backend modules, business services, and RESTful APIs

. • Experience integrating applications with internal and third-party systems.

• Knowledge of RabbitMQ or similar messaging tools.

 - Experience developing reports using Jaspersoft.

 - Proficiency in SQL, database design, query optimization, and transaction management.

• Experience with Hibernate and Spring Data.

 - Experience maintaining database schemas, versioning, and migration scripts.

• Experience performing unit, integration, system, and API testing.

• Knowledge of coding standards, peer reviews, automated scanning tools, and secure development practices.

• Familiarity with source code repositories, application artifact management, containerized deployments, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Familiarity with cloud deployment, monitoring, and resource optimization is an advantage.

 - Ability to troubleshoot production issues and resolve defects within agreed timelines.
