Back-end Lead

Job Overview:

As a Backend Team Lead, you will act as the engineering anchor for a stream-aligned product team. You will be responsible for designing scalable backend systems, mentoring engineers, driving technical excellence, and ensuring successful delivery of enterprise-grade applications.

You will work closely with Product, Design, QA, and DevOps teams to build highly scalable, secure, and maintainable systems using modern backend frameworks, cloud technologies, and distributed architectures.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of backend developers.

2. Own end-to-end delivery of backend projects (Design Development Deployment Maintenance).

3. Design and architect scalable, high-performance microservices.

4. Drive best practices in system design, coding standards, security, and performance optimization.

5. Reduce technical debt and improve system reliability.

6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams across product and business stakeholders.

7. Conduct code reviews and ensure quality engineering practices.

8. Guide the team in cloud-native and containerized architecture.

9. Participate in technical planning, sprint reviews, and architectural discussions.

10. Promote adoption of AI-assisted engineering tools (ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, etc.).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in computer science / IT or related field.

• 6+ years of strong hands-on in:

• Java / Advanced Java

• Spring Boot

• Strong experience in:

• RESTful API design & architecture

• Microservices architecture

• JSON, JWT, API security

• Strong experience with:

• PostgreSQL / MSSQL

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Experience with AWS cloud services.

• Familiarity with container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).

• Strong problem-solving and architectural thinking ability.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Good to Have:

• Experience in distributed systems and performance optimization.

• CI/CD pipeline experience.

• Knowledge of observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana
