Backend Developer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable e-commerce web applications across backend and frontend
• Build and operate reliable backend services and RESTful APIs for commerce flows (primarily NestJS / Node.js)
• Develop modern storefront and admin experiences with Next.js and React
• Maintain and improve existing Laravel-based e-commerce systems
• Work on core commerce domains such as catalog, cart, checkout, orders, subscriptions, payments, promotions, and logistics integrations
• Improve reliability, performance, and maintainability of high-impact customer and operations flows
• Collaborate with product, design, and business stakeholders to ship production-ready features
• Take ownership of tasks, identify issues early, and drive solutions to completion

Must Have

• 4+ years of experience in web application development
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript
• Hands-on experience with Laravel
• Solid backend experience with APIs and MySQL
• Hands-on experience with React and/or Next.js
• Understanding of OOP, system design, and Git-based workflows
• Experience building scalable, maintainable production systems
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with NestJS, Node.js, Prisma, or TypeORM
• Direct e-commerce experience (checkout, payments, subscriptions, inventory, promotions, or order management)
• Experience with high-traffic e-commerce systems
• Prior technical leadership or mentoring experience
