Experience with AWS, Oracle integrations, headless commerce, and modern authentication technologies is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend-for-frontend (BFF) APIs supporting product search, product details, login, registration, customer accounts, carts, bulk orders, and checkout.
  • Develop REST APIs and integrations using modern backend technologies.
  • Integrate customer accounts, addresses, carts, orders, pricing, inventory, and product information across multiple systems.
  • Implement authentication and account-based authorization using technologies such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and Amazon Cognito.
  • Integrate with content and product information platforms including AEM, DAM, and PIM.
  • Develop real-time integrations with enterprise systems and APIs for pricing, inventory availability, lead times, and order processing.
  • Build and support asynchronous, event-driven workflows using AWS SNS and S3.
  • Support account synchronization and data integration across multiple enterprise systems.
  • Develop search API integrations using Solr and support potential integration with Algolia.
  • Implement reliable handling of timeouts, retries, duplicate events, idempotency, partial failures, and reconciliation.
  • Develop automated unit and integration tests and participate in code reviews.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines, API documentation, application monitoring, logging, and tracing.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and improve application performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with frontend, IAM, QA, ERP, content, and integration teams.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable backend solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience developing and supporting production backend services and APIs.
  • Strong experience with REST APIs, JSON, API contracts, and service integrations.
  • Experience with Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) or API aggregation patterns.
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce workflows including customer accounts, carts, checkout, pricing, and order processing.
  • Experience with synchronous APIs and asynchronous/event-driven integrations.
  • Strong understanding of data mapping, retries, idempotency, failure recovery, and distributed system troubleshooting.
  • Working knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, token/session management, and authorization.
  • Strong experience with relational databases and SQL.
  • Experience with cloud services, messaging platforms, and object storage.
  • Experience with automated unit and integration testing.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and application observability.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with commercetools APIs and commerce data models.
  • Experience with Oracle EBS, Oracle GOP, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), or SOA services.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS SNS, AWS S3, Amazon Cognito, Amazon Aurora, or Better Auth.
  • Experience working with AEM Publish, AEM DAM, or PIM APIs.
  • Experience with B2B commerce and account-specific pricing/access.
  • Experience with multiple ship-to and bill-to locations, bulk ordering, and purchase order workflows.
