About the Role

We are looking for a Backend Developer with 1 to 1.5 years of hands-on experience in backend development. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of PHP and the MERN Stack, along with a good understanding of APIs, databases, server-side development, and application architecture.

You will work closely with frontend developers, UI/UX designers, and other team members to build, maintain, and improve scalable web applications and backend systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Build secure and scalable applications using PHP and MERN Stack technologies.
• Design and develop RESTful APIs for web and mobile applications.
• Work with databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, and other relevant databases.
• Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
• Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Identify and resolve bugs, performance issues, and backend-related problems.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate APIs and backend services.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and basic application security practices.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and deployment activities.
• Maintain technical documentation for APIs, applications, and development processes.
• Stay updated with modern backend development practices and technologies.

Required Skills

Backend Development

• Strong knowledge of PHP.
• Good understanding of Node.js and Express.js.
• Experience working with REST APIs.
• Understanding of backend architecture and server-side programming.
• Knowledge of authentication mechanisms such as JWT, sessions, and role-based access.

MERN Stack

• MongoDB
• Express.js
• React.js
• Node.js

Candidates should have a practical understanding of the MERN ecosystem, particularly Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB.

Database

• Good knowledge of MySQL.
• Good understanding of MongoDB.
• Understanding of database design, queries, relationships, indexing, and optimization.

Other Technical Skills

• Git and GitHub/GitLab.
• Understanding of deployment and hosting concepts.
• Knowledge of Nginx/Apache is a plus.
• Familiarity with Postman or similar API testing tools.
• Understanding of JSON, HTTP methods, status codes, and API security.

Good to Have

• Experience with React.js.
• Experience with CodeIgniter or another PHP framework.
• Knowledge of TypeScript.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with Docker.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working with third-party APIs and payment gateways.
• Basic understanding of application performance optimization and security.
