Backend Developer

We are looking for a skilled *Backend Developer* to join our development team and work on scalable web and mobile application projects. The ideal candidate should have strong backend development experience, excellent API development skills, and a solid understanding of databases, authentication, security, and cloud deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize scalable backend systems and server-side applications.

• Design and develop secure *RESTful APIs* for web and mobile applications.

• Integrate frontend applications and mobile apps with backend services.

• Design and manage relational and NoSQL databases.

• Implement authentication, authorization, *JWT, OAuth, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)*.

• Integrate third-party APIs and services such as payment gateways, email, SMS, maps, and notifications.

• Handle payment integrations such as *Stripe* and related webhook functionality.

• Develop proper database schemas and maintain data integrity.

• Implement server-side business logic, validations, error handling, and logging.

• Optimize APIs, database queries, and overall backend performance.

• Work with cloud environments and application deployments.

• Troubleshoot backend issues and production bugs.

• Maintain clean, reusable, documented, and version-controlled code.

• Collaborate with frontend, mobile, QA, and project management teams.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in *Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Python/FastAPI*.

• Strong knowledge of *Express.js and/or NestJS*.

• REST API development and third-party API integrations.

• *MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB* database development.

• Database design, indexing, relationships, and query optimization.

• *Redis caching* and application-level caching strategies.

• *Horizontal and Vertical Scaling* for scalable backend systems.

• *Blue-Green Deployment* strategies for reliable production releases.

• *System Rollbacks* and production recovery strategies.

• JWT, OAuth, authentication, authorization, and *RBAC*.

• API security, validation, webhooks, and payment gateway integrations.

• Git, GitHub, Postman, and API testing.

• Linux/server environments and production debugging.

• Backend integration with *Flutter and React Native mobile applications.

Cloud & DevOps Knowledge

• *AWS* services and cloud deployment.

• EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFront, and Load Balancers.

• Docker and containerized deployments.

• CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.

• Nginx, Domain, DNS, SSL, and production environment configuration.

Additional Preferred Skills

• WebSocket / Socket.IO and real-time applications.

• Firebase and push notifications.

• Microservices architecture.

• Background jobs and queues.

• Swagger / OpenAPI documentation.

• Automated testing.

• SaaS, marketplace, and subscription-based applications.

Experience

• 2–4+ years of professional backend development experience.

• Proven experience developing production-level APIs and backend systems.

• Experience working on complete web/mobile application development lifecycles.

• Ability to understand existing codebases and troubleshoot technical issues independently.
