journey, developing algorithms and prototypes to support our initiatives. Critical thinking, ideation, and a willingness to learn are valued. This position will report to the Managing Director of BASF Care Chemicals Digital and Global Leader of Digitalization at Care Chemicals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services within a microservices architecture
• Build and enhance RESTful APIs and ensure high performance and reliability
• Collaborate with frontend developers to deliver seamless end-to-end features
• Contribute to system architecture decisions and technical design discussions
• Ensure code quality through code reviews, testing, and best practices
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing services

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 5+ years professional experience in a similar position, building confidence as a software engineer with broad knowledge of state-of-the-art technologies, preferably in an agile environment
• Professional knowledge in EAI and Microservice architecture professional knowledge in Java>=17
• Professional knowledge in SpringBoot2.x
• Professional knowledge in Spring-modules like Spring-Data, Spring-Integration, Spring-Batch, Spring-Security
• Professional knowledge in persistence technology (JPA2, Hibernate)
• Knowledge in (No-) SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Experience with automated testing (e.g. Junit and Integration tests)
• Experience in event-driven architecture (e.g. ServiceBus, RabbitMQ, Kafka)
• Azure DevOps Experience: knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
