We cultivate our future engineering & business leaders! Upon completing Stage 1, top-performing interns who exhibit technical mastery, discipline, and strong output are evaluated for full-time employment offers at UR Technology.

Evaluation Criteria: Overall performance, technical/professional skills, attendance, learning ability, discipline, project contribution, and business requirements.

• Such employment, if offered, will be subject to a separate employment/offer letter containing the applicable position, salary, benefits, terms and conditions. Completion of the internship does not guarantee permanent employment.

About The Role Dive into the core engine of modern software. The Backend Developer Internship at UR Technology is a 3 to 6 months practical program where you will design scalable server architectures, construct secure JWT/OAuth API endpoints, and optimize complex SQL database schemas.

Stage 1 — The Internship Accelerator (Duration: 3 - 6 Months): Production-level backend engineering experience supervised by Senior Backend Architects. Benefit from structured code reviews, system design training, and an official Internship Completion Certificate. No stipend.

Stage 2 — Full-Time Permanent Employment Opportunity: Standout interns who display strong algorithmic thinking, API security discipline, and clean code principles will be fast-tracked for full-time Backend Engineer roles.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain server-side application logic using Node.js and Express.
• Design database tables, indexes, and queries in PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Build RESTful API endpoints and implement token-based (JWT) authentication.
• Optimize server response times, caching (Redis), and handle server errors gracefully.
• Write unit tests for critical API routes and database transactions.

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related technical disciplines.
• Good understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and HTTP protocols.
• Solid foundation in SQL databases and relational data modeling.
• Familiarity with Postman, Git, and basic Linux commands.
