Backend Developer, Microservices & API Integrations (Calypso)

About the Role

We are looking for a Backend Developer, Microservices & API Integrations (Calypso) to build and maintain the integration layer between the Calypso platform and our internal and external systems

Responsibilities

• Design and develop microservices that integrate Calypso with market data providers, Bloomberg, custodians, brokers and internal systems.

• Build and maintain REST and SOAP APIs and message-based integrations.

• Work with Calypso’s APIs and extension points, including data import/export, engines, and custom workflows.

• Make sure integrations are reliable, monitored, logged and secure, in line with DORA requirements.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, containerisation and deployment.

• Write technical documentation and take part in code reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 4+ years of backend development, mainly with Java and Spring Boot.

• Solid experience designing microservice architectures.

• Strong experience with API integrations (REST, SOAP, OAuth2/JWT) and message brokers such as Kafka, RabbitMQ or IBM MQ.

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, CI/CD, and Git.

• SQL experience with MS SQL or Oracle.

• Experience with Calypso or other trading/post-trade systems, the FIX protocol, or Bloomberg integrations is a strong advantage.

• Strong English (written and spoken)

• Russian language is a plus

Working conditions:

On-site in Limassol / 09:00-18:00 or 10:00-19:00 / Monday to Friday (Public Holidays if urgent, with overtime pay)
