We are looking for a skilled backend engineer with strong expertise in Node.js to design, build, and maintain scalable server‑side applications. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of backend development principles, API design, and database management, with a commitment to delivering secure, high‑performance systems. You will collaborate closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and QA teams to ensure seamless integration and robust application delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop backend services using Node.js and frameworks like Express to support scalable web and mobile applications.
• Design and implement APIs for seamless communication between systems and clients.
• Architect microservices and ensure modular, maintainable backend solutions.
• Optimize performance through profiling, debugging, and tuning server‑side code.
• Ensure security by implementing authentication, authorization, and data protection practices.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align backend solutions with business requirements.
• Maintain documentation for APIs, services, and system architecture.
• Stay updated with emerging backend technologies and frameworks to continuously improve processes.

Prerequisites

• Diploma/Degree in Computer Science or related IT field.
• 4+ years of hands‑on experience in backend development using Node.js.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture.
• Experience with databases: relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB).
• Proficiency in Git for source code management and collaborative workflows.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Ability to analyze complex requirements and deliver scalable, maintainable backend solutions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with experience in Agile environments.

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM9,500.00 per month
