Backend Developer Python - Startup SaaS

Context

DELECTATECH is a startup based in Barcelona that monitors and analyzes millions of data points from any type of establishment in the Food Service channel (bars, restaurants, cafeterias, etc.) worldwide.

After years of research, they have created their own internationally recognized AI engine that allows analyzing any Food Service establishment with unprecedented detail. This technology is offered to clients through Food Radar, a SaaS platform that enables leaders in HORECA manufacturing and distribution worldwide to analyze their real market in seconds, segment with maximum precision, and prioritize establishments with the highest sales potential.

The company has been awarded multiple times for its innovation and recognized for its contribution to applying AI in the Food Service sector. Thanks to recent advances in Generative Artificial Intelligence, the company has been included in Microsoft's global acceleration program.

Missions

• Lead backend development projects technically and independently.
• Contribute to the growth of the SaaS platform, Food Radar.
• Become a key execution pillar within the development team.
• Absorb knowledge of the existing architecture and work autonomously on complex developments.
• Provide technical judgment and decision-making from the early stages.
• Build software, solve technical problems, and deliver developments responsibly from start to finish.

Tools & Environment

• Backend development in Python using FastAPI as the main framework.
• Databases: PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Infrastructure based on Docker and Azure.
• Frontend developed in Angular.
• Integration of AI/LLM APIs within the platform.
• Regular use of AI tools for development such as Cursor and Copilot.

Working Conditions

• Fixed salary between €40,000 and €45,000 gross per year.

1. 5+ years of solid experience developing backend in Python, ideally with FastAPI
2. Real mastery of relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL and MongoDB), beyond basic level
3. Understanding of designing and using complex datamodels and experience in designing and architecting modular, scalable, and maintainable backend systems
4. Positive consideration for experience in DevOps and Angular
5. Experience working in professional development teams (3+ people) and long-term projects, with real responsibility over what you build
6. Demonstrable autonomy: ability to unblock yourself, make technical decisions, and progress without constant validation
7. Native Spanish speaker
8. English level B2 to read technical documentation
9. Positive consideration for experience with Docker, Azure, Angular, or IA/LLM integration, though not mandatory initially
