Backend Developer Team Lead

Job Responsibilities Summary

• Production Incident Management: Lead regional incident response, troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, implement fixes, and conduct post-incident reviews.
• System Stability & Operations: Manage regional production deployments, rollbacks, scaling, monitoring, alerting, and emergency response procedures.
• Backend Development: Lead backend system design, API development, code maintenance, and technical and code reviews for core application modules.
• Data Compliance & Governance: Ensure secure and compliant production data access, provide accurate data analysis, and establish regional data access processes and tools.
• Team Leadership & Coordination: Manage and mentor 1–2 local backend/SRE engineers while coordinating technical matters between the regional team and headquarters.
• Tooling & Process Improvement: Develop scripts, runbooks, and self-service tools to streamline troubleshooting, reduce repetitive tasks, and improve operational efficiency.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or above; Computer Science / Software Engineering preferred
• 8+ years of Java backend development, including 2+ years as a tech lead or people manager
• Expert in Java and Spring Boot, with experience architecting and refactoring complex business systems; familiar with Spring Cloud or similar microservice stacks
• Strong database skills: complex MySQL queries, indexing and execution plans, slow query optimization, and capacity assessment
• Proficient with Redis; familiar with Kafka / RocketMQ internals and common pitfalls
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting high-traffic production services and

Pay: $10,000.00 - $18,000.00 per month
