About the Internship

Pranav X Labs is looking for motivated Backend Development Interns who want to gain practical experience working on real-world web applications and software projects.

Selected interns will work with the development team on backend systems, APIs, databases, authentication, server-side functionality, and integration with frontend applications.

This internship is suitable for school and college students who have relevant backend development skills and want to develop their practical experience through project-based work.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services and server-side applications.
• Build and integrate REST APIs and other required APIs.
• Design and work with databases and data models.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and basic security practices.
• Connect backend services with frontend applications.
• Debug and resolve backend errors and technical issues.
• Write clean, structured, and maintainable backend code.
• Test APIs and backend functionality before deployment.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, app developers, UI/UX designers, and other team members.
• Participate in technical discussions and provide regular updates on assigned tasks.
• Complete assigned development tasks within specified deadlines.
• Follow project requirements, development standards, and team guidelines.

Required Skills

Candidates should have practical knowledge of some or most of the following:

• Programming fundamentals
• Node.js / Python / Java / PHP or another backend language
• REST APIs
• Database fundamentals
• SQL or NoSQL databases
• Git/GitHub
• Basic API testing and debugging
• Basic understanding of HTTP and client-server architecture

Knowledge of any of the following is an advantage:

• Express.js
• MongoDB
• PostgreSQL / MySQL
• Firebase
• Authentication systems
• Cloud deployment
• Docker
• API integrations

Eligibility

• School or college students can apply.
• Candidates must have relevant backend development skills.
• Candidates should be willing to learn and work on practical software projects.
• Prior professional experience is not mandatory if the candidate can demonstrate their skills through projects or a portfolio.

Compensation

Compensation/stipend, if applicable, will be discussed with shortlisted candidates based on the role, project requirements, skills, and performance.

Abusive, threatening, disrespectful, discriminatory, or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.

Repeated failure to complete assigned tasks, missed deadlines without valid communication, negligence, misconduct, or violation of organizational guidelines may result in termination of the internship.
