Backend Engineer

Job Summary

A fintech platform enabling financial institutions to provide inclusive lending, credit assessment, risk management, and goal-based financial services to underserved and underbanked customers. Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable backend services and APIs. Own backend features and services across the complete development lifecycle. Design efficient database schemas, queries, data models, and service architectures. Build integrations with internal platforms and external financial/technology services. Develop asynchronous workflows using queues, events, and background processing. Improve system scalability, performance, reliability, and fault tolerance. Deploy, monitor, and operate services on cloud infrastructure. Identify and resolve production issues and performance bottlenecks. Write high-quality, testable, maintainable code and contribute to engineering best practices. Collaborate with product, frontend, data, and ML teams to deliver end-to-end solutions. Participate in system design, architecture discussions, and technical decision-making.
