Job Description

Backend Development:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance backend applications using Java and related frameworks, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with frontend developers, designers, and product owners to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• API Design and Implementation: Design and implement RESTful APIs and services to facilitate seamless integration with frontend applications and external systems.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize application performance and database queries for efficiency and scalability, ensuring a smooth and responsive user experience.
• Troubleshooting: Debug and troubleshoot production issues, providing timely resolutions and implementing enhancements to improve system reliability.
• Technology Adoption: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in Java technologies and adopt best practices to continually enhance the development process.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, UX/UI designers, and QA engineers, to ensure the seamless 
  integration of frontend and backend components.
• Project Planning: Participate in the estimation, planning, and prioritization of development tasks, contributing to the successful delivery of projects.
• Code Reviews: Conduct thorough code reviews, upholding coding standards and best practices within the team, fostering a culture of excellence.

Backend (JAVA): Skillet & experience required.

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Over 3 years of hands-on experience in software development, Experienced in IntelliJ IDEA 
• Proficient in building scalable and performant backend systems using Java frameworks such as Spring Boot.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles and a comprehensive knowledge of Java language specifics.
• Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
• Familiarity with RESTful API design and development, showcasing expertise in creating efficient and user-friendly interfaces.
• Experience with message brokers such as RabbitMQ or Kafka is an asset.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and cloud-native applications, contributing to the development of scalable and flexible solutions.
• Knowledge of modern software development practices, including Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization using Docker or Kubernetes.
• Proficiency with version control systems, such as Git, ensuring effective collaboration and code management.
• Strong problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of authentication protocols and data security best practices, emphasizing a commitment to robust and secure software development.

A‑Plus / Nice‑to‑Have Skills

• Experience with Confluent Kafka, Azure DevOps or distributed event‑streaming platforms
  (e.g. Kafka topics, producers/consumers, schema registry, stream processing)
• Strong English communication skills, especially for cross‑functional and international team collaboration
