Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Backend Services Engineer with strong expertise in Python and AWS cloud technologies. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in developing scalable backend services, REST APIs, microservices, and cloud-native applications using Docker, Terraform, AWS Lambda, and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, reusable, and high-performance backend services using Python.
• Develop REST APIs and support serverless microservices architecture on AWS.
• Deploy and manage applications using Docker, Terraform, AWS Lambda, and Fargate.
• Create reusable Terraform modules and CI/CD pipeline patterns.
• Monitor applications and system health using CloudWatch, Splunk, or DataDog.
• Perform deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting, and production support.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to design and deliver cloud-native solutions.
• Support automated testing, monitoring, and continuous delivery practices.

Required Experience

• 10+ years of strong hands-on Python development experience
• Hands-on AWS experience (Lambda, API Gateway, Serverless)
• Strong Terraform or CloudFormation knowledge (Terraform preferred)
• GitLab CI/CD experience preferred
• Strong understanding of HTTP protocols and web servers
• Monitoring and alerting experience (CloudWatch, Splunk, DataDog)
• Experience in RESTful APIs and Microservices using Python
