Backend Software Engineer

Backend Software Engineer

Hybrid | Benguet, PH

We're building AI agents that do the real work of enterprise SAP development — writing code, driving live SAP systems, and generating the deliverables that today take consultants months. Leading global consulting firms want it now, and we're in active conversations with Fortune 100 enterprises.

We're hiring Backend Engineers based in the Philippines to join a small, fast-moving product team. One of our founders built and scaled Coding Dojo, one of the most successful U.S. coding bootcamps (later acquired); his co-founders helped grow it.

What you'll do:

• Build features end-to-end: schema changes, Go APIs, React/TypeScript UI, and tests
• Debug issues across the full stack, from UI symptoms down to SQL queries
• Participate in code reviews
• Work with AI coding tools daily as part of the standard workflow

What we're looking for:

• Fluency with AI coding tools, alongside the judgment to verify their output
• Solid fundamentals in system architecture (request flows, data modeling, state management, performance, and security)
• Proficiency in at least one modern backend language and one typed frontend framework
• Working knowledge of SQL (joins, indexes, and query execution)
• Solid Git skills and strong debugging practices
• Clear written communication skills

Nice to have:

• Experience with Go or React/TypeScript in production or a substantial side project
• Exposure to Docker, Azure, or CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with enterprise systems (SAP, Oracle, Salesforce) or data engineering

Why it's a smart bet: PMF is already behind us. Our AI platform is taking off with top consulting firms and Fortune 100 prospects; our enterprise data-quality platform is live with two Fortune 100 customers and an Accenture partnership. Founded by Stanford GSB alumni, seed-funded by Ulu Ventures, currently in StartX.

You are: a software engineer with ~1–3 years of experience; hungry, high-agency, an excellent written + verbal communicator, and deeply coachable.

To apply: send your résumé plus short answers to these three questions (keep it concise — how you write is part of what we evaluate) to [email protected]

• What's the hardest thing you've built — what made it hard, and how did you overcome it?
• What do you most want to get better at as an engineer, and why?
• What makes you different from other strong engineers?

Note: We are very particular about following instructions. So, please make sure to read through the instructions on how to apply.
