Marinus Analytics is seeking a full-time Software Engineer to work on a Human Trafficking insight tool for law enforcement. This role primarily involves ingestion and manipulation of constantly changing data from multiple different sources as well as administering the back end processes to ensure the constant uptime of these processes. As a secondary element, this role will also creating dashboards and other web based views into the ingested data.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong programming experience with Python
• Experience gathering and transforming data from multiple pipelines
• Experience developing on LINUX in the AWS cloud
• Strong experience with relational databases (PostgresDB)
• Nice to have: Experience working with commercial search engines (Elasticsearch)
• Nice to have: Experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP).

EXPERIENCE

• Must be currently enrolled or have graduated with a BS or MS degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including: C/C++, Java, or Python.
• Experience building crawlers
• Experience building web applications
• This position is remote or flex (depending on your preference), but the candidate must live in Pittsburgh, Pa
