Backend Software Engineer - Global Quant Trading firm

Top Tier Global Quant Trading firm is seeking Software Engineers to join their hugely successful and dynamic team. You will be a core member of the software engineering team building projects that will have a direct impact on the day to day operation of the business.

The type of candidates that should apply are backend developers who have built interesting projects, rather than front-end / web developers.

Responsibilities

• Solving real world problems, building high performance, functional infrastructure that will power the firm's trading operations.
• Write high-quality, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Working in a collaborative environment to develop systems for automated trading, risk management, data analysis, and network monitoring, while contributing to open-source tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in software development, with proficiency in a functional programming language such as python, but we are open to any functional languages.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience working in an agile development environment is a plus.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Strong command of spoken and written English
