Salary: $185,000 - $225,000 per year

We are looking for an experienced Backend Software Engineer with a strong background in TypeScript and Node.js to join our dynamic Tech Services team. As a key player in our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing critical components of our system, ensuring the highest levels of performance, reliability, and scalability. You will have the opportunity to work on complex, challenging problems, creating data pipelines, integrating APIs, and designing systems. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual to bring their skills to a fast-paced, innovative environment where they can make a significant impact.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable TypeScript and Node.js code.
• Ensure the highest level of production reliability, scalability, and observability.
• Develop data pipelines, integrate APIs, and design systems to support our tech services.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems.
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to ensure our systems meet business needs and align with our technology strategy.
• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, from concept to deployment and beyond.
• Provide technical leadership, driving and performing best engineering practices to initiate, plan, and execute large-scale, cross-functional, and company-wide critical programs.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, applying this knowledge to our systems and processes where relevant.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Backend Software Engineer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript and Node.js is essential.
• Demonstrable experience with production reliability, scalability, observability, data pipelines, API integration, and system design.
• Proficiency in working with AWS and PostgreSQL.
• Strong understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a knack for complex challenges.
• Proven ability to design, develop, and implement large-scale systems.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in the Tech Services industry is a plus.
