Backhoe Operator

About the role

Airmix Enterprise Construction Incorporated is seeking an experienced Backhoe Operator to join our dynamic construction team. This is a full-time position based in San Mateo, Rizal. As a Backhoe Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining backhoe equipment on various construction sites. This role is crucial to the success of our projects, as you will be directly involved in earthmoving, excavation, and material handling operations that form the backbone of our construction activities.

Key responsibilities

• Operate backhoe equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with all health and safety regulations and company procedures
• Perform excavation, grading, and material handling tasks on construction sites to support project timelines and specifications
• Conduct daily pre-operation inspections of backhoe equipment to identify maintenance needs and report issues to supervisors
• Maintain accurate records of equipment operation hours, fuel consumption, and maintenance activities
• Collaborate with construction teams and site supervisors to ensure all work is completed to specification and within project schedules
• Follow all environmental and safety protocols while operating heavy machinery on construction sites
• Assist with minor equipment maintenance and repairs as required
• Communicate effectively with other team members and supervisors regarding site conditions, equipment status, and project progress

What we're looking for

• Valid Heavy Equipment Operator license or Backhoe Operator certification
• Minimum of 3–5 years of proven experience operating backhoe equipment on construction sites
• Strong knowledge of equipment operation, maintenance, and safety protocols
• Excellent understanding of construction site safety regulations and environmental compliance
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and site plans
• Physical fitness and ability to work in various weather conditions and challenging environments
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable attendance record and commitment to punctuality
• Preferred experience with multiple types of heavy construction equipment is a plus
