Job Overview

We’re looking for a dependable baker who takes pride in their work, is eager to learn, and cares about making a consistently great product. We’re also looking for a dependable, hands-on assistant baker to support daily prep and production. The right person takes ownership of their work, cares about quality, and is eager to learn.

Responsibilities of Bagel Maker:

• Roll, boil, and bake bagels according to established recipes and procedures.
• Mix and prepare flavored cream cheeses.
• Maintain consistent product quality and communicate any production issues.
• Keep workstations, equipment, and storage areas clean and organized.
• Complete dishes and daily kitchen cleanup.
• Monitor proofing and adjust timing based on dough condition and kitchen temperature.
• Check finished bagels for consistent shape, color, texture, and doneness.

Responsibilities of Bakery Assistant:

• Prepare, weigh, and pre-portion ingredients accurately.
• Mix dough according to established recipes and procedures.
• Assist with bagel production as needed.
• Prepare ingredients and supplies for the following day.
• Properly label, store, and organize ingredients.
• Monitor ingredient levels and communicate when supplies are running low.
• Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment.
• Wash dishes and complete daily kitchen cleanup.

Typical shifts:

Bagel Maker- 5:00 to 11:00 or later - hours vary

Bakery Assistant- 7:00-12:00 or later - hours vary

Pay Range: $18 to start. Room to grow in responsibility, hours, and rate.

Baking or kitchen experience is a plus, but we’re happy to train the right person.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
