Bagel Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Bagel Supervisor will be responsible for day-to-day operational tasks such as inventory, line checks, new employee training, scheduling, ordering, as well as bagel employee training and supervision. The right candidate for this position will display strong communication skills, creative problem solving, strive to be solution oriented and be able to constructively manage the bagel team to ensure quality is always at the forefront. They will also be able to direct and motivate their team to encourage the values that are important to Nomad’s core ethics. These values include honesty, respect, integrity and creating a cohesive work environment where staff members feel valued while still getting their respective jobs accomplished. The bagel supervisor will report directly to the general manager (GM) and will work closely with them to implement changes that will help to grow the business. GM is responsible for all employee disciplinary actions or terminations.

Duties & Responsibilities **

· Schedule all bagel employees on a biweekly or monthly basis to ensure maximum efficiency while taking into consideration everyone’s scheduling needs and preferences

· Take inventory of spices and place spice orders on a weekly basis

· Take inventory of rosemary, flour and other misc. products and give inventory checklist to kitchen manager for ordering on a weekly basis

· Participate in the hiring process and train new employees once hired

· Review policies and procedures with bagel employees and ensure adherence

· Communicate with bagel employees when improvements to performance are required and be recommend correction write ups where necessary

· Ensure that facility deep cleaning is carried out for all bagel areas

· Set bagel bake and rolling pars by updating the bake schedule on a weekly basis

· Communicate with wholesale customers as needed

· Make sure opening and closing duties are carried out correctly by all staff members

Pay: $23.50 - $28.50 per hour

Expected hours: 36.0 – 40.0 per week
