About 55K Bread

55K Bread is a new artisan bakery opening in Sunnyvale, California.

We focus on freshly baked, handcrafted breads and pastries, with an emphasis on quality, consistency, and attention to detail.

As we prepare to open, we're looking for a passionate and reliable Baker to join our team and help build 55K Bread from the beginning.

We're looking for someone who enjoys hands-on baking, takes pride in their work, and wants to grow with our bakery.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dough, including mixing, dividing, shaping, proofing, and baking.
• Follow recipes and daily production schedules to maintain consistent product quality.
• Monitor fermentation, proofing, and baking processes.
• Operate and maintain commercial bakery equipment safely.
• Assist with daily production planning and preparation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace.
• Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth daily production.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of professional baking or bakery experience preferred.
• Experience with artisan breads, sourdough, or pastries is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Good time management and ability to work efficiently in a production environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working as part of a team.
• Available for early morning shifts and weekends.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs, with reasonable accommodation where applicable.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Schedule

• Shift start time: 5:00 AM
• Full-time and part-time positions available.
• Weekend availability required.
• Specific workdays and shift lengths will be discussed during the interview.
