Baker assistant

Duties

• Assist with cake decorating and food presentation to ensure visually appealing products that delight customers
• Support food preparation activities, including baking, cooking, and packaging of baked goods and other menu items
• Maintain high standards of food safety and handling protocols in accordance with industry regulations
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, taking orders, and ensuring a welcoming environment
• Help with kitchen organization, including inventory management and cleaning tasks to uphold hygiene standards
• Assist with food industry-specific tasks such as portioning, garnishing, and quality control checks
• Support the team in food packaging for takeout or delivery orders, ensuring accuracy and presentation

Qualifications

• Previous bakery experience or familiarity with food preparation and customer service preferred
• Skilled in cake decorating and baking techniques
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment with attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork
• Basic understanding of kitchen equipment and food industry practices
• Willingness to learn new skills related to cooking, food presentation, and customer interaction
