Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented team member to support our culinary team in a fast-paced food production environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in bakery and kitchen operations, contributing to the creation of high-quality baked goods and food products. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent customer service skills, and a strong commitment to food safety standards. This position is essential for maintaining efficient kitchen workflows and ensuring the delivery of delicious, visually appealing products to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cake decorating, pastry preparation, and food presentation to ensure attractive and professional results
• Support food production processes including baking, cooking, and food handling in accordance with safety standards
• Prepare ingredients and assist with food assembly, packaging, and portioning for retail or catering purposes
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, tools, and equipment in the kitchen area
• Help with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock needs
• Support catering events or restaurant service as needed, ensuring timely delivery of orders
• Follow all food safety protocols and sanitation procedures to uphold health regulations
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting with product inquiries or sample requests when applicable

Skills

• Experience in cake decorating, baking, or pastry arts is REQUIRED
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety practices
• Familiarity with food industry standards including food handling and sanitation procedures
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Excellent knife skills and proficiency in culinary techniques such as cooking, baking, and food presentation
• Experience in packaging baked goods or prepared foods for retail or catering purposes
• Prior restaurant or catering experience is a plus
• Good organizational skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
