About the role

Doughnut Boss is seeking a skilled and passionate Baker to join our team in Bali. This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic baking environment, creating high-quality baked goods and pastries for our customers. As a Baker, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality, consistency, and excellence of our products, whilst contributing to the growth and success of our bakery operations in Bali.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a variety of bread, pastries, cakes and doughnuts according to established recipes and quality standards
• Weigh, measure and mix ingredients using standard kitchen equipment and tools
• Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure products are baked to perfection
• Decorate and finish baked goods with icings, glazes, fillings and toppings
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bakery kitchen, work surfaces and equipment
• Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
• Manage inventory of baking supplies and ingredients
• Assist with product development and recipe testing as required
• Work collaboratively with the team to meet daily production targets and deadlines
• Train and mentor junior bakers when appropriate

What we're looking for

• Formal qualification in baking or pastry making, or equivalent practical experience
• Minimum 1 years of baking experience
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredient functionality and flavour combinations
• Proficiency in using commercial baking equipment and tools
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
• Physical stamina and ability to work in a warm kitchen environment for extended periods
• Strong time management skills with ability to work to tight deadlines
• Reliability and a strong work ethic
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
• Willingness to work early morning shifts and occasional weekends
• Experience in doughnut production or speciality baking is highly desirable
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
