Baker

CheeZaatar, a new Mediterranean restaurant, is seeking a dependable and experienced Baker to prepare and bake fresh dough in a fast-paced restaurant environment. We are looking for a skilled Baker who can maintain consistent quality standards for CheeZaatar making Manakish (Mediterranean style pizza) in a brick oven.This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves baking, food preparation, and delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. The Baker will have the responsibility from start to finish to prepare the dough and monitor the baking process in a brick oven.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake established recipes and keep quality standards
• Operate and clean kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, and dough sheeters safely and efficiently
• Manage dough preparation and ensure proper proofing, fermentation, and baking times for optimal results
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace by following food safety management practices and sanitation procedures
• Assist in food production tasks related to catering events or high-volume bakery operations as needed

Requirements

• Experience working with a brick oven
• Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and effectively
• Knowledge of food handling regulations and food safety management practices
• Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency
• Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and adjusting recipes as necessary
• Customer service skills to assist clients or team members professionally when needed
• Enthusiasm for learning new skills
