Position Details

Job Title: Baker
Reports To: Manager
Average Weekly Hours: 20–40 hours per week
Schedule: Weekdays and weekends
Available Hours: 4:00 AM–5:00 PM

Position Overview

Our Bakers are responsible for executing The Eat Shop recipes and production schedules while consistently producing high-quality baked goods. This position requires attention to detail, efficiency, teamwork, and a strong sense of pride in the finished product.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of baked goods according to The Eat Shop's approved recipes and production schedules
• Mix, bake, assemble, decorate, and finish products efficiently and consistently
• Follow recipes, procedures, and production schedules accurately
• Maintain The Eat Shop's standards for quality, consistency, and presentation
• Safely operate and maintain bakery equipment
• Follow all food safety, handling, and storage requirements
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area
• Open and close the bakery as assigned
• Communicate clearly and professionally with teammates and customers
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Assist in other areas of the bakery when needed

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, bending, and reaching
• Ability to lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to taste products for quality assurance, including buttercream, pastry batter, cookie dough, and other recipes as assigned

Language Skills

Must be able to speak, read, and write English and communicate clearly and professionally with coworkers and customers.
