Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a wide range of baked goods including bread, pastries, cakes, cookies, and other confections according to established recipes and standards
• Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, dough sheeters, and pastry tools safely and efficiently
• Decorate cakes and pastries with precision using various cake decorating techniques to enhance visual appeal
• Ensure all baked items are packaged attractively for sale or catering purposes while maintaining food safety standards
• Maintain a clean workspace by regularly sanitizing surfaces, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
• Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in flavor, texture, and presentation across all products
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as dough preparation, portioning, and ingredient measurement using basic math skills
• Support high-volume production demands by working efficiently during busy periods while adhering to quality standards
• Uphold food handling protocols and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers
• Contribute to the overall food industry operations by providing excellent customer service when interacting with clients or during catering events

Qualifications

• Proven experience in baking or pastry preparation within a commercial kitchen or bakery environment
• Strong knife skills and proficiency in dough preparation techniques
• Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to hygiene standards
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively in a fast-paced setting
• Excellent attention to detail with an eye for creative cake decorating and presentation skills
• Basic math skills for recipe scaling and ingredient measurements
• Previous experience in food production or catering is highly desirable
• Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure while maintaining quality standards
• Passion for culinary arts with a focus on baked goods and food industry best practices

Pay: $12.00 - $14.50 per hour
