Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of baked goods, including bread, cakes, pastries, and cookies, following established recipes and standards
• Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, proofers, and dough sheeters safely and efficiently
• Decorate cakes and pastries with precision using various cake decorating techniques to enhance visual appeal
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace by adhering to food safety management practices and sanitation protocols
• Measure ingredients accurately using basic math skills to ensure consistency in food production
• Package baked items securely for retail display or customer takeout while maintaining product freshness
• Assist in food handling and preparation tasks to support high-volume production demands during busy periods

Skills

• Extensive pastry preparation and baking experience with a strong understanding of dough preparation techniques
• Proficiency in cake decorating, food production, and food industry standards for quality control
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely while maintaining a clean workspace environment
• Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to recipe guidelines for consistent results
• Excellent knife skills for precise cutting, slicing, and portioning of baked goods
• Experience in packaging baked items efficiently while preserving freshness and presentation
• Strong customer service orientation with the ability to handle food handling responsibilities professionally
