Overview

We’re looking for a full time, experienced baker to join our team! Do you love carbs? Do you love working with your hands, and want to spend time in a fun environment with awesome folks? Are you free on the weekends?

We are looking for a full time bread baker to join our team. At this time, we’re looking for someone with professional baking experience, and you’ll have to be at least 18 in order to use all of our machines and equipment. Weekend availability is a must. It’s physical work making up to 300 loaves a day- you’ll need to be able to lift a 50 lb bag of flour, and stand on your feet for an 8 hour shift. Ideally, you would have experience mixing, shaping, proofing, and baking yeast doughs and sourdoughs. This is a rare opening for our award-winning baking team… are you the missing piece? This is a full-time role, which will be 5 days a week (including at least one weekend day.)We offer tip sharing amongst all employees, paid time off, and sick time. We also offer a yearly educational stipend, so you can further your continuing education and grow your skills!

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a variety of goods including bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies according to established recipes. We are specifically looking for someone who has some experience in sourdough bread baking.
• Ensure all food preparation is conducted in compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the baking area, including equipment and utensils. This includes washing some dishes- we all take a turn!

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience as a Baker or in a similar role within the culinary field.
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques and food preparation methods.
• Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations. If you do not have a WV Food Handler's Certification, we will help you get one!
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards. The dough dictates our schedule, and sometimes we have to hustle to get it all shaped on time!
• We are looking for someone reliable and consistent, who works with a sense of urgency and with an attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 45.0 per week
