Duties

• Prepare a variety of baked goods including bread, pastries, cakes
• Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, dough sheeters, and decorating tools safely and efficiently
• Ensure all baked items meet quality standards through proper food handling and recipe adherence
• Decorate cakes and pastries with precision to meet presentation expectations
• Maintain a clean workspace by adhering to food safety protocols and sanitation procedures
• Package baked goods carefully for retail display
• Assist with food preparation tasks including dough preparation, pastry assembly, and ingredient measurement using basic math skills
• Support high-volume production needs during busy periods while maintaining consistency and quality
• Contribute to a positive customer experience by providing friendly service when interacting with customers or during catering events

Experience

• Proven experience in baking, pastry preparation, or food production within a commercial kitchen or bakery environment
• Strong knife skills and familiarity with dough preparation techniques
• Experience with cake decorating and pastry artistry preferred
• Knowledge of food safety management practices and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment efficiently in high-volume settings
• Prior catering or food industry experience is advantageous
• Demonstrated ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency across baked goods
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining a clean workspace and adhering to safety standards
• Basic math skills for ingredient measurement and portioning required

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
