About the role

Kon-Tiki Hospitality Corp. is seeking a skilled and passionate Baker to join our culinary team in Angeles City, Pampanga. This is a full-time position where you will be at the heart of our baking operations, responsible for creating high-quality breads, pastries, and baked goods that delight our guests. As a Baker, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and consistency of our baked products, ensuring that every item that leaves our kitchen meets our exacting standards and contributes to our reputation for excellence in hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a variety of breads, rolls, pastries, cakes and other baked goods according to established recipes and quality standards
• Measure and mix ingredients using proper techniques and equipment to ensure consistency and quality
• Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure products are baked to perfection
• Decorate and finish baked goods as required, including icing, glazing and garnishing
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the bakery area, including sanitising work surfaces and equipment
• Manage inventory of baking supplies and ingredients, reporting shortages to management
• Adapt recipes and production methods based on feedback and seasonal requirements
• Work efficiently to meet production deadlines whilst maintaining quality standards
• Collaborate with kitchen and hospitality staff to ensure seamless service delivery
• Follow food safety regulations and best practices at all times

What we're looking for

• Formal training or certification in baking and pastry arts from a recognised institution
• Proven experience as a Baker or in a similar baking role within a hospitality or food service environment
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients and equipment
• Ability to follow recipes precisely whilst also demonstrating creativity in product development
• Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality and consistency
• Sound understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
• Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to work early morning shifts and weekend hours as required
• Preferred: Experience with specialty breads, artisanal pastries or working in a hotel or resort bakery
