Duties

• Prepare and bake a wide range of baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and desserts, following established recipes and quality standards
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as measuring ingredients, mixing batters, and assembling baked items
• Ensure food safety protocols are strictly followed during handling, preparation, and packaging of products
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment sanitation and proper storage of ingredients
• Package baked goods securely for retail display or customer takeout while ensuring freshness and presentation
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products and offering recommendations when needed

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a bakery, restaurant, or food service environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
• Knowledge of food handling safety standards and proper sanitation procedures
• Skills in cake decorating and food presentation to create visually appealing products
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and serve customers professionally
• Basic cooking and food preparation skills with a focus on baking techniques
• Experience in food industry roles that involve food safety compliance and packaging processes is a plus
