Baker

Job Overview

We are seeking a Full Time Baker to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for baking various items that we sell in-house and to our wholesale partners.

Experience in:

• Preparation and Baking: Measure, mix, and blend ingredients to create doughs, batters, and icings; knead, roll, cut, and shape dough; bake breads, pastries, muffins, and other items according to standardized recipes and procedures
• Quality Control: Inspect raw materials and finished products to ensure consistency, taste, freshness, and adherence to food safety standards
• Inventory and Equipment Management: Maintain accurate inventory of ingredients, operate and clean baking equipment, and ensure proper storage of supplies to minimize waste and comply with health regulations
• Prepare product for retail: Apply icings or toppings to pastries for retail sale.

Skills and Qualifications

• Technical Skills: Knowledge of baking techniques, recipe execution, dough handling, and decorating methods
• Food Safety: Current BC Foodsafe certificate
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 30–50 lbs., stand for long periods, and perform repetitive motions
• Other Skills: Attention to detail, teamwork, time management, and customer service orientation.
• Education and Certification: High school diploma or equivalent is required; culinary or baking certifications are preferred.

Compensation and Work Environment

· $24 - $27 / hr. Based on experience and ability

· Typical work week. 3:30am to noon, Wednesday through Sunday. Work independently much of the time.

Pay: $24.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
