Fat Bagels is a locally owned breakfast and lunch restaurant specializing in New York-style kettle-boiled bagels, breakfast sandwiches, coffee, and more. We're part of the same local restaurant family behind Fat Olives and Salsa Brava, with more than 35 years of restaurant experience in Flagstaff.

We're looking for a dependable, hardworking Baker to join our team. This is a hands-on production position responsible for making our bagels fresh every day—from mixing and shaping the dough to kettle boiling and baking.

Previous baking experience is a plus, but we're willing to train the right person with strong kitchen experience, reliability, and a willingness to learn.

What You'll Do

• Mix, proof, portion, and shape bagel dough
• Kettle boil and bake fresh bagels daily
• Prepare and bake assorted pastries and other baked goods
• Follow recipes, production standards, and proper food-handling procedures
• Maintain consistent product quality and presentation
• Keep baking and prep areas clean, organized, and stocked
• Assist the kitchen team with prep and sandwich production as needed
• Communicate with the team to ensure daily production needs are met
• Follow opening, cleaning, and food-safety procedures

What We're Looking For

• Previous baking, restaurant, prep cook, or kitchen experience preferred
• Ability to consistently work early-morning shifts, with start times as early as 2:30 AM
• Dependable and punctual
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Able to stay organized and productive in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to quality and consistency
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods

Compensation & Perks

$18.35/hour + tips

Tips currently average an additional $5–$7 per hour, bringing typical total earnings to approximately $23.35–$25.35+ per hour.
