About the Role

Moms Kitchen Limited is seeking a skilled, reliable, and motivated Baker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, baking, decorating, and presenting a variety of baked goods while maintaining high standards of product quality, food safety, and workplace cleanliness.

We are looking for someone with practical baking skills, good attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen or bakery environment.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

• Weigh and measure ingredients accurately according to recipes and production requirements.
• Mix ingredients to prepare dough, batter, and other baking mixtures using electric mixers or by hand.
• Operate baking equipment and machinery to roll, knead, shape, and mould dough, slice bread, and cut biscuits.
• Coordinate the preparation, forming, loading, baking, unloading, depanning, and cooling of bread, rolls, and other baked products.
• Monitor baking times, oven temperatures, and product consistency to ensure the quality of finished goods.
• Decorate, garnish, and finish baked products according to recipes and presentation requirements.
• Check the quality, freshness, and appearance of ingredients and finished products.
• Order, receive, store, and maintain inventory of baking ingredients and supplies as required.
• Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of baking equipment, utensils, workstations, and the bakery before, during, and after production.
• Follow food safety procedures, workplace health and safety requirements, and relevant hygiene standards.
• Organise daily baking activities and manage production tasks to meet operational requirements.
• Minimise ingredient wastage and use baking supplies efficiently.
• Assist with customer orders and enquiries and process payments when required.
• Perform other reasonable duties related to baking and bakery operations.

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

• At least 3 years of work experience as a baker or in a commercial bakery environment.
• Practical knowledge of baking methods, recipes, ingredients, and production processes.
• The ability to prepare dough, batter, bread, rolls, biscuits, and other baked products.
• Experience operating mixers, ovens, and other bakery equipment.
• Knowledge of food hygiene, food safety, and workplace cleanliness standards.
• Good attention to detail and the ability to maintain consistent product quality.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good time management and organisational skills.
• A reliable, responsible, and positive approach to work.

Relevant baking qualifications or equivalent practical experience would be an advantage.
