Baker – Bakery & Food Production

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday: 6:00 am – 1:30 pm
• Saturday: 3:00 am – 7:30 am
• Alternate Saturdays off, provided the bakery is fully staffed.

Please note that this role involves early morning starts, including a 3:00 am start on Saturdays.

Overview

We are looking for a skilled, enthusiastic and reliable Baker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have previous baking experience, a passion for producing high-quality baked goods and the ability to work efficiently in a busy bakery environment.

You will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of products, maintaining high standards of food hygiene and ensuring our customers receive fresh, delicious goods every day.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has excellent attention to detail and enjoys working as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing, baking and finishing a range of bread, pastries, cakes and other baked goods.
• Measuring and mixing ingredients accurately according to recipes.
• Monitoring baking times and temperatures to ensure consistent quality.
• Following food safety, hygiene and health and safety procedures at all times.
• Keeping the bakery, work surfaces and equipment clean, tidy and organised.
• Ensuring products are prepared and ready on time.
• Working closely with other team members to maintain a smooth and efficient production process.
• Taking pride in the quality, presentation and consistency of all products.

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience working in a bakery or similar baking environment is essential.
• Good knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients and equipment.
• Understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products.
• A positive attitude, reliability and a genuine passion for baking.
