About the role

Wangsa Holdings Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented and dedicated Baker to join our baking team in Kepong, Kuala Lumpur. This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in producing high-quality baked goods that delight our customers. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing, baking and finishing a variety of bread, pastries, cakes and other baked products to the highest standards. Your expertise and attention to detail will directly contribute to the success of our bakery operations and the satisfaction of our clientele.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and measure ingredients according to recipes and formulations
• Operate and maintain baking equipment including ovens, mixers and proofing cabinets
• Bake breads, pastries, cakes and other baked products following established recipes and quality standards
• Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure products are baked to perfection
• Decorate and finish baked goods as required, ensuring attractive presentation
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the bakery workspace
• Follow food safety and health regulations at all times
• Manage inventory of baking ingredients and report stock levels
• Train and assist junior bakery staff as needed
• Troubleshoot baking issues and adjust recipes or techniques to maintain quality consistency

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Baker or in a similar baking role within a commercial bakery environment
• In-depth knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
• Ability to follow recipes precisely whilst maintaining consistency and quality
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
• Physical stamina to work in a busy bakery environment, including early morning shifts
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finished products
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Creativity and willingness to develop new baking products and recipes
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in baking or pastry work are advantageous
