Baker

To prepare, bake, and present a range of high-quality bakery products in accordance with company recipes, food safety standards, and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake breads, pastries, cakes, muffins, scones, and other bakery products.
• Measure and mix ingredients according to approved recipes.
• Operate bakery equipment safely and efficiently.
• Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure consistent quality.
• Decorate and finish baked goods where required.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all bakery and food preparation areas.
• Follow all food safety, HACCP, and health & safety procedures.
• Check product quality and report any issues to management.
• Rotate stock and monitor ingredient freshness.
• Assist with stock control, ordering, and inventory counts.
• Ensure bakery displays are well stocked and attractively presented.
• Support colleagues and provide excellent customer service when required.

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in a bakery, café, restaurant, or food production environment is desirable.
• Knowledge of baking methods, ingredients, and food safety practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
• Strong time management and organisational skills.
• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays as required.

Qualifications

• Food Hygiene Certificate (desirable).
• HACCP training (desirable).

Pay: From €14.15 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20.0 per week
