Baker

Knowledge of baking skills and techniques is required. Compensation is based on experience and level of competency. This is an early morning shift that starts at 6 am.

Duties:

• Follow Renaissance Patisserie recipes for baking of croissants, Danishes, muffins, scones etc. for sale at the bakery and for customer orders.
• Also produces breads, pound cakes, and more for custom orders and for sale at the bakery from standard recipies and within brand guidelines.

Requirements

• Must have at least 2 years experience working in a specialty bakery. NO HOME BAKERS PLEASE!
• Culinary Arts or Pastry Degree a plus.
• Ability to scale recipies in either metric or imperial measurements.
• Attention to detail is critical.
• Basic math skills for recipe conversions and modifications.
• Genuinely positive attitude, pleasant demeanor, and strong work ethic.
• High energy individual who can adapt to production deadlines which can increase around holidays. Ability to work at speed without compromising quality.
• Must be proficient in safety and sanitation standards, and organization a must.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with co-workers.
• Upholds uniform standards, personal appearance and hygiene.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
