Hours: 14 hours per week (2 days per week)
Pay: £12.71 per hour

About the role

Lythe Community Shop is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate baker to join our friendly team!

We’re looking for someone who enjoys baking and takes pride in producing delicious, homemade-style treats for our local community. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves baking and would like to be part of a welcoming community shop.

What you’ll be baking

Our kitchen produces a variety of delicious baked goods, including:

• Cakes
• Scones
• Quiches
• Traybakes

Key responsibilities

• Preparing and baking a range of cakes, scones, quiches and traybakes.
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and hygienic kitchen throughout the working day, cleaning between production tasks as required.
• Following good food hygiene and kitchen safety practices.
• Working positively as part of a friendly team.
• Taking pride in the quality and presentation of all baked goods.

About you

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has a genuine passion for baking.
• Is enthusiastic, reliable and willing to learn.
• Works well as part of a team.
• Is friendly and takes pride in their work.
• Can maintain a clean and organised kitchen while working.

Previous baking experience is preferred, but full training can be provided for the right person. We welcome applications from people who have a keen interest in baking and are eager to develop their skills.
