Full-Time / Part-Time Baker Job Summary

Oh Sweet Day! Bake Shop is looking for a Full-Time/Part-Time Baker to join our team!

Located in the heart of the Tri-Cities, we’re a neighbourhood dessert shop proudly serving our local community and customers.

Everything we offer is made in-house with care. We’re passionate about creating our signature cheesecakes, modern buttercream cakes, and quality baked goods that look beautiful and taste even better.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Bake and prepare a variety of products, including cakes, cheesecakes, cookies, tarts, cake fillings, buttercream, and other baked goods
• Follow recipes and production standards to ensure consistency and quality
• Provide front-of-house support as needed, including operating the cash register, serving customers, packaging products, folding boxes, and assisting with orders
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation, kitchen, and overall shop environment
• Assist the team with daily bakery operations as needed

The Successful Candidate Must:

• Have commercial kitchen baking experience
• Have a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn
• Be organized and able to prioritize and multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Have strong communication and customer service skills
• Be a self-starter who works well both independently and as part of a team
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and attention to detail
• Be reliable, responsible, and punctual
• Be available to work weekends and holidays

Experience

• Commercial Kitchen Baking: Required
• Food service: Minimum 1 year preferred

Education & Certification

• High school completion or equivalent required
• FoodSafe Level 1 certification preferred

Language

• English
