Baker / Dough Mixer

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Baker and Dough Mixer to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food production and a strong understanding of food safety and handling practices. As a Baker, you will be responsible for creating a variety of baked goods, ensuring high-quality standards are met while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a wide range of products including bagels, cookies, and quickbreads.
• Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies; assist with ordering as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen by following proper sanitation procedures.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely, including ovens, kettle, mixers, and knives.
• Package finished products for display or sale while adhering to food safety standards.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow in the kitchen.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a bakery or similar food production environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with dough mixing, bread shaping, fermentation, and proofing.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
• Strong skills in food preparation techniques.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines.
• A passion for baking and creating high-quality baked goods.
• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including early mornings or weekends.
