Position: Baker (Full Time / Part Time)

Salary: From RM1,900 per month

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake breads, cakes, pastries and other baked items according to Thread & Brew’s recipes and standards.
• Handle daily baking preparation, including weighing ingredients, mixing, shaping, proofing, baking and finishing.
• Ensure consistent quality, taste, portion size and presentation.
• Plan daily production according to stock levels and expected sales to minimise wastage.
• Keep the workstation clean, organised and hygienic throughout the working day. Clean-as-you-go is compulsory.
• Clean and sanitise baking equipment, utensils, ovens, work surfaces and storage areas after use.
• Label, date and store ingredients and finished products correctly.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures.
• Monitor baking ingredients and inform the PIC when stocks need to be replenished.
• Assist with packing, displaying and restocking baked products.
• Support cashier or other café operations during busy periods or on non-baking days.
• Carry out other reasonable duties related to café operations when required.

Requirements

• Baking knowledge or relevant working experience is preferred.
• Fresh graduates from culinary or baking programs are welcome to apply. Ideally at least 1 year of relevant experience in F&B, hospitality, or any related fields.
• Able to follow recipes and maintain consistent quality.
• Responsible, punctual, organised and willing to learn.
• Able to work independently and as part of a small team.
• Comfortable supporting general café operations when required.
• Able to work on weekends and public holidays.
• Must have completed food handling training and received a valid typhoid vaccination, or be willing to obtain both before starting work.
• Possess good personal hygiene.
• Willingness to work flexible hours
• Training will be provided

• Responsible, honest, energetic, punctual to work and co-operation

Education:

• At least SPM/STPM (preferred)

Experience:

• Food & Beverage: 1 year (preferred)

Language:

• English (preferred)
• Malay (preferred)
